Holiday Brunch & Silent Auction (R$)
Saturday, December 7, 2019 9:30am
Pine Valley Country Club, 10900 Pine Mills Road, Fort Wayne

join us (and bring a guest) as we continue our annual tradition of celebrating the holidays with fellowship, music, catching up with friends, meeting new ones and participating in our silent auction to further AAUW’s mission. Please consider the contribution of a basket or individual items to include in the silent auction.

Our guest speaker will be one of the students from Purdue University Fort Wayne who was sponsored by our AAUW Branch to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) this past spring. She will provide highlights of the leadership training information that was gained at this nationally recognized Conference.

This year as part of our 80th anniversary, we will also be celebrating the history of our partnership with other organizations in our community, such as the League of Women Voters, the YWCA, the Women’s Bureau, who work diligently to improve the quality of life for women and girls

Annual Meeting & Recognition Luncheon (R$)
Saturday, March 21, 2020 11:30am
Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana Service Center, 10008 Dupont Circle Dr., E, Fort Wayne, 46825

The Fort Wayne Branch of AAUW will hold our annual meeting and recognize those individuals and groups in our branch who have been singled out for special mention. An election of our new officers will also be held. In addition, a special report will be given from our Purdue University Fort Wayne Representative and AAUW Member, Melissa Gruys, Ph.D., Dean and Professor of Management, Doermer School of Business. She will give us an update on how the Start Smart workshop(s) have gone and feedback about the training.

This past spring our AAUW Branch sponsored two students from Purdue University Fort Wayne to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL). A presentation was previously made at the December meeting by one of the students. The second student who received our AAUW sponsorship will provide additional highlights at our meeting about the leadership training information that she gained from attending this exceptional Conference.
